Product Growth Manager (Lifecycle & Retention)

🎯 Role Overview

We’re looking for a Product Growth Manager (Lifecycle & Retention) who will own the entire user lifecycle at SuperProfile — from sign-up to activation, trial, paid conversion, retention, and win-back.

You will be directly accountable for improving conversion and retention by designing, running, and optimising data-driven lifecycle journeys across Email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Web Push — powered by real product usage signals.

This is not a campaign execution role .

This is a product + data + experimentation role .



🔑 What You’ll Own (End-to-End)

1. Lifecycle Strategy & Journeys

  • Design and own end-to-end user journeys :
  • Sign-up → Activation
  • Activation → Trial
  • Trial → Paid
  • Month-1 → Month-2 retention
  • Churn → Re-activation
  • Identify drop-offs and friction points using product data
  • Continuously evolve journeys as the product evolves


2. Owned Growth Channels

You will fully own:

  • Email
  • WhatsApp
  • SMS
  • Web Push

This includes:

  • Trigger design
  • Segmentation logic
  • Frequency control
  • Message sequencing
  • Channel-mix decisions


3. Experimentation & Conversion Optimization

  • Define and run A/B experiments on: Messaging, Timing, Triggers, Channel combinations
  • Maintain a structured experimentation backlog
  • Measure uplift, not vanity metrics
  • Kill what doesn’t work. Double down on what does.


4. Product Data & Analytics

  • Work directly with product and billing events (Mixpanel)
  • Build funnels and cohort analyses to answer questions like:

Where are users dropping off?

Which behaviors predict conversion?

What signals indicate churn risk?

Use insights to ship better journeys , not just reports


5. Cross-Functional Ownership

  • Partner closely with:

Product (to influence roadmap & nudges)

Design (for high-impact lifecycle UX)

Engineering (for triggers, events, infra)

  • Translate insights into clear requirements and experiments

✅ Must-Have Experience

  • 2–4 years in Product Growth / PLG / Lifecycle / Retention
  • Hands-on experience owning Email + WhatsApp/SMS + Push
  • Strong understanding of SaaS funnels
  • Experience working with event-based analytics (Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
  • Proven track record of improving conversion metrics
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product & Engineering
  • Bonus points if you have a computer science background or deeply understand tech


🌟 Nice-to-Have (Big Plus)

  • Experience in creator tools / SaaS / B2B2C
  • Built lifecycle journeys for free trial products
  • Experience with Stripe / subscription billing flows
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Customer.io, WebEngage, etc.)

  • You’ve only worked on one-off blasts
  • You need detailed instructions instead of ownership
