Product Information Specialist/Operations Assistant

Blues Hog is a leading brand in the world of barbecue, known for crafting premium sauces, rubs, marinades, and fuels that are trusted by competition pitmasters and backyard BBQ lovers across the nation. Remote work is not available for this role, and candidates must be based in the local area.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations & Product Information Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this dual-role position, you’ll support the Operations Manager in daily business activities while also primarily focusing on optimizing our product data across platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is both process-driven and tech-savvy, with a passion for operational excellence and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Support:

  • Assist with daily administrative and logistical tasks
  • Help coordinate inventory management, order fulfillment, and vendor communications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow
  • Identify and help implement process improvements

Product Information Management (PIM):

  • Manage and update product data in internal databases and PIM systems
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of product specifications, pricing, descriptions, and images across platforms
  • Coordinate with product development, marketing, and e-commerce teams to publish and maintain accurate product content
  • Perform regular audits of product information to ensure data integrity
  • Support onboarding of new products and SKUs across systems and channels
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve them

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in operations support, supply chain, or related field
  • Experience working with Product Information Management (PIM), ERP, or inventory systems
  • Experience with platforms such as 1WorldSync, GS1, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and database tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in e-commerce or retail a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
