Product Management Principal Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Data storage capabilities (blob storage, tiering, purge)

  • Data management (data cataloguing, compliance, access management, data lineage, data quality)

  • Data acquisition (both external or from transactional Amadeus applications)

  • Tooling (data model design, internal data asset data catalogue, data products and data contracts, …)

  • With the challenge to reconcile both the usability and the thoroughness of compliance processes.

As PM owner of those capabilities, you will oversee:


Positioning

o Facilitate the data strategy and data governance (driven by the ADO) adoption within the PM community, in collaboration with the Business Data Offices, especially linking the governance process with the business priorities. Communicate capabilities evolution, process evolutions, and collect feedbacks from users and from PM community, to adjust the roadmap and ensure the adoption.

o Collaborate with ADO, Engineering community, CRP architects and domain experts or external consultants to consolidate a clear vision of the business environment: competition, partners, market trends

o Propose strategic directions to management to ensure one-voice communication (with investment / budget proposal, prioritization of features etc…)

o Convey strategic direction to customers and other stakeholders

o Own and Maintain portfolio business and decision logs


Lifecycle

o Run your platform capabilities at various stages of maturity.

o Control the strategy for all the maturities from introducing new technologies (forecast adoption, define stage gates, be able to stop an ideation...) - until the product end of life and decommissioning strategy (replacement, migration, communication, change management...)

o Measure success metrics

o Define the cost model and monitor the capability unit cost evolution


Execution

o Keep platform capability backlog groomed in close collaboration with relevant Epic Owners with changing priorities from the business or ADO or internal customers. Proactively communicate any significant changes to the backlog or roadmap to key stakeholder groups

o Work with ADO and R&D teams to translate the ADO Vision into actionable requirements and socialize them with the teams for implementation. And then report on the progress to the ADO.

o Own the long term capability roadmap and the long term vision. Work with Epic Owners, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering to refine the requirements, feed the execution backlog and roadmap (Train and Epic Owner). You are accountable for a balanced roadmap to ensure a scalable and optimized user experience, stable and performant technology product, that continually meets business needs, NFR's (Non-Functional Requirements) and System enablers are considered and captured and cascaded to team backlogs

o Coordinate and prioritize feature delivery to match with go-to-market activities as needed for new features across the organization, demonstrating a deep understanding of the problems being solved and what the market (mainly internal) needs

Basic Qualifications

    • Strong communication and analytical skills

    • Results-oriented, energetic, and strong in a spirit of initiative

    • Ability to operate in a fast-paced technology-driven environment

    • Ability to quickly establish strong relationships and credibility

    • Fluent in English


Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience leading a software core product or component from the discovery to the deployment in production,

    • Familiar with Cloud Concepts

    • Familiar with Big data concept / Data Management / data governance / compliance processes and challenges / Collibra

    • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business

    • Experience working with agile teams
