Job Purpose

Lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle of digital products and technology solutions. The IT Product Manager ensures that products deliver value to users, meet business objectives, and operate efficiently within the organisation’s technical ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Planning

  • Define product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user studies to identify opportunities.
  • Prioritise features and initiatives based on business value and technical feasibility.

Requirements & Documentation

  • Translate user and business needs into clear product requirements.
  • Write user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure documentation stays updated throughout the product lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, design, QA, cybersecurity, operations, and business units.
  • Provide continuous clarifications and align teams with product goals.
  • Coordinate feature planning, development, testing, and release preparation.

Product Development & Delivery

  • Oversee the execution of the product roadmap.
  • Review UX/UI proposals and ensure high usability standards.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and product demonstrations.
  • Validate delivered features and ensure they meet requirements and quality standards.

Performance Monitoring

  • Define KPIs and success metrics for the product.
  • Analyse data, user behaviour, and system performance to identify improvements.
  • Gather and prioritise enhancement requests and bug fixes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate product updates, risks, and milestones to leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Align expectations and manage internal and external feedback.

Product Launch & Support

  • Plan and coordinate product releases and change management.
  • Prepare training materials, documentation, and communication for end users.
  • Support post-launch monitoring and continuous product optimisation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, software development, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern IT systems.
  • Experience with product management or digital product ownership.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Skilled in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in product management or related IT roles.
  • Experience working on digital platforms, enterprise systems, or customer-facing applications.
  • Proven ability to manage full product lifecycle from concept to release.
