We are seeking a proactive Product Manager to serve as the digital backbone of an exclusive private residential community and club in Rancho Mirage, California. In this high-touch role, you will be the primary on-site expert responsible for the sustainment, day-to-day operations, and continuous enhancement of a sophisticated technology ecosystem. You aren't just managing hardware and software; you are ensuring that the seamless integration of technology enhances the premium experience of our members and residents.
Acting as the vital bridge between our daily operations, central technology teams, and third-party vendors, you will ensure all systems—from club management software to residential infrastructure—function flawlessly. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for system evolution, ensuring our technology grows alongside the business. Responsibilities:
Systems Operations & Product Support
- Support ongoing system sustainment and enhancements for the community's technical ecosystem, ensuring technology solutions meet operational needs.
- Evaluate opportunities for process improvements as onsite operations expand and recommend enhancements or new system capabilities in collaboration with vendors.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for club technology platforms, including systems supporting membership management, dining services (POS/KDS), lifestyle and wellness programs, events and banquets, payments, website and mobile applications, reporting tools, and associated hardware.
- Act as the onsite representative for product management, supporting daily operational technology needs.
Product & Feature Development
- Partner with business, operations, technology, finance, and vendor teams to define system enhancements, features, and functionality.
- Translate business requirements into product documentation including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, project briefs, scope documents, and testing scenarios.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps and help prioritize initiatives aligned with business needs.
- Manage and prioritize the backlog for internal and vendor engineering teams.
Testing, Quality Assurance & Launch Support
- Ensure product quality through testing, QA processes, and user feedback loops.
- Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect triage activities, working with technical and production teams to identify root causes and resolve issues.
- Support the launch and implementation of new vendor software solutions and system enhancements.
- Coordinate launch readiness activities including testing, documentation, communication, and training.
Onsite Technical Support
- Provide ad hoc onsite technical support including logging into systems, checking operating systems, connecting or relocating devices, and assisting users with technology needs.
- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot printer issues including connectivity, drivers, queues, and basic hardware problems.
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for devices such as PCs and tablets, including reviewing logs, capturing screenshots, and navigating system directories.
- Coordinate with centralized IT teams or vendors to escalate complex issues and document resolutions in the ticketing system.
Training & Knowledge Management
- Assist with onboarding and training for new team members, including equipment setup, system access validation, and operational support.
- Support operational training activities by shadowing teams and assisting with system configuration when needed.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and documentation for onsite teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with teams including technology, operations, marketing, sales, legal, finance, and external vendors to support technology initiatives and operational goals.
- Communicate project progress, system updates, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Support change management initiatives including training, communications, and ongoing operational support.
Operational Coordination
- Support cross-functional go-to-market and operational sustainment activities including processes, documentation, and timelines.
- Assist with ongoing system configuration, maintenance, and uptime monitoring for digital experiences.
- Drive documentation of procedures, testing plans, and coordination of system enhancements and launches.
- Support research, reporting, analytics, and project logistics related to system improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, Miro, Microsoft Tools (including Sharepoint and CoPilot), Smartsheet, Content Management systems, Club Management Systems (experience with Clubessential a huge plus), Food & Beverage POS systems, Adobe Products, and AI Tools.
- Experience with evaluating vendor solutions and providing strategic technical recommendations, including the development of RFIs/RFPs and contract/scope negotiation.
- Highly professional, organized, inquisitive, and extremely detail-oriented.
- Experience communicating across the broader organizations through various mediums (i.e. presentations, email, formal/informal meetings).
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive thinker with the ability to thrive in an often ambiguous, fast paced environment.
- Working knowledge of markets, products, and competitive landscape (including ability to predict and explain current/future trends), and the ability to translate (both verbally and in writing) technologies into business value.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Experience evaluating emerging technology solutions, including AI, and companies for fit and viability against use cases.
