About us
We are fast-paced and our goal is to help individuals obtain meaningful work, be paid fairly, and have fun in the process!.
We are looking for a highly organized Product Manager / Scrum Master to own our internal development lifecycle.
You won't be managing clients; you will be managing the product backlog and the development process. You will sit directly between our leadership team and our engineers, translating high-level business goals into actionable technical requirements and ensuring our sprints run smoothly.
What You’ll Do (The Hybrid Challenge)
1. Product Management (The "What")
- Backlog Ownership: Own and prioritize the product backlog. You are the gatekeeper of what gets built and when.
- Requirements Gathering: Work with internal stakeholders to define features, writing clear and concise User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Roadmap Execution: Translate the strategic roadmap into tactical sprints, ensuring the engineering team always has "ready" work in the pipeline.
- QA & Acceptance: Verify that developed features meet the acceptance criteria before they are marked as "Done."
2. Scrum Master / Agile Delivery (The "How")
- Sprint Ceremonies: Facilitate all agile ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Remove Blockers: Act as the team’s "bulldozer"—identifying and removing impediments (technical, logistical, or administrative) that slow down the engineers.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine our development workflows (e.g., in Jira) to improve velocity and code quality.
- Shield the Team: Protect the engineering team from outside distractions and scope creep during active sprints.
Who You Are
- Structured & Logical: You love bringing order to chaos. You can take a vague idea like "we need better security" and break it down into 5 specific technical tickets.
- Technical Translator: You don’t need to be a coder, but you must be fluent in "developer speak." You understand APIs, databases, and technical debt enough to respect the engineering complexity.
- Ruthless Prioritizer: You are comfortable saying "no" (or "not yet") to good ideas to protect the focus on great ideas.
- Servant Leader: You measure your success by the team's success. If the engineers are shipping code friction-free, you are winning.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management or Technical Project Management.
- Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile experience is highly preferred.
- Deep proficiency with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Experience writing technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Bonus: Experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check as well as a drug test.
