Product Manager - Commercial Vehicle
About the Role:
The Product Manager – Commercial Vehicle is responsible for developing and managing financing products for trucks, buses, pickups, and other commercial transport vehicles. This role focuses on understanding the unique cash flow patterns of transport operators, designing flexible financing structures, and ensuring portfolio growth while managing asset quality and residual value risk.
Responsibilities:

Design and launch commercial vehicle financing products for new and used trucks, buses, and light commercial vehicles

Develop tailored financing structures (e.g., deferred payments, seasonal balloon payments, step-down profit rates) based on transport sector cash flows

Conduct market research on competitor pricing, residual values, and vehicle depreciation trends

Collaborate with Credit and Risk teams to create underwriting models specific to commercial transport operators

Manage relationships with vehicle manufacturers, dealerships, and transport associations for business generation

Work with Recovery and Asset Management teams to handle repossession, remarketing, and residual value realization

Monitor portfolio performance including delinquencies, average ticket size, vehicle repossessions, and product yield

Optimize product yield through pricing strategies, risk-based pricing, and effective management of markups/profits and fees

Drive digitalization of the application process, vehicle valuation, document collection, and disbursement to reduce turnaround time

Enable digital tracking of repayments, overdue alerts, and recovery workflows for commercial vehicle customers

Conduct branch training for sales and credit teams on commercial vehicle segmentation (e.g., owner-operator vs. fleet), risk assessment, and product features

Develop branch training modules and certification programs to ensure consistent underwriting and customer advisory across all locations

Ensure compliance with SBP Prudential Regulations for auto finance and Hijri calendar adjustments for Islamic structures

Track key metrics: disbursement volume, portfolio at risk (PAR), average vehicle age financed, turnaround time, and product yield

Required Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics from an HEC-recognized university

3–5 years of experience in product management, auto finance, or commercial lending within a bank or leasing company

Prior experience with commercial vehicle financing or asset-backed lending

Understanding of vehicle registration, hypothecation, and repossession processes
Essential Skills

Knowledge of commercial vehicle segments and their cash flow cycles

Understanding of residual value risk and vehicle depreciation trends

Familiarity with SBP Prudential Regulations for Auto Finance and repossession guidelines

Strong Excel skills for portfolio MIS, vintage analysis, and delinquency tracking

Cross-functional collaboration with Credit, Collections, Legal, and Dealer Management teams

Data-driven problem solving for portfolio quality issues

Communication and negotiation skills for dealer and transport association relationships
