Job Purpose

The role of a Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing the product through it’s lifecycle from development to market performance. This role witll predominatley focus on defining the product strategy, to ensure the right products are available at the right price and to analyse sales performance.


Key responsibilities

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

  • Develop and execute a product roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the introduction, growth and phase-out of products based on market trends and performance.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities in the market.

Go-To-Market strategy

  • Define appropriate segmentation, targeting and positioning plans
  • Support range policy and coverage needs based on market indicators
  • Lead market launches of new products, ensuring customer shelf-space wins
  • Plan and implement appropriate marketing tactics through the product lifecycle
  • Identify new product opportunities based on market demand

Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activities in aftermarket.
  • Gather insights from sales teams, customers and industry reports to identify growth opportunities.

Pricing & Profitability Management

  • Define pricing strategies based on market positioning, cost analysis and competitor benchmarking.
  • Analyse product profitability and margin improvements.

Sales & Distributor Support

  • Work closely with the Trade Marketing Manager to align promotional activities with product goals.
  • Ensure smooth communication of product updates, technical changes, and positioning strategies.

New Product launches

  • Manage new product launches in the region, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales strategies

Technical Support & Training

  • Collaborate with technical team to address technical inquiries and product-related issues.

Digital & E-commerce Support

  • Support digital marketing initiatives by providing product-related content for online platforms.

Demand Planning

  • Support his/her region demand forecasting process through collection, analysis and communication of local market data

Financial and market-share growth

  • Implementation of the tactics to achieve revenue and profitability results and market share growth for the category
  • Understand key financial & economic indicators to drive regional growth
  • Define and own the region price position based on market and financial indicators & EMEA price policy
  • Implement appropriate sales enablement activities to drive demand, adoption, share-of-wallet gain, and overall success


What we’re looking for

Education/Experience - Required Qualifications and skills

  • 5+ years in trade marketing, channel marketing or sales support within the automotive aftermarket or industrial sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Experience in retail, B2B marketing and sales channel support.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including sales teams, dealers and marketing agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools and data analysis software.
  • Proficient in building customer relations and loyalty
  • Strong analytical abilities and will have a data-oriented approach
  • Confident ability to present and communicate effectively with customers
  • Experience of social media marketing and content creation
  • Open minded with high level of enthusiasm and energy
  • Commercial mindset
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Fluent in English and local language
  • Must own a valid driving license
  • Have a flexible approach to travel


Education/Experience – Preferred skills

  • Technical understand of automotive industry and aftermarket
  • Experience of working in a global and cross matrix organization would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of French is preferred
