  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Reports to: Director of Platform Engineering — dotted line to the CAIO for AI-backlog items.

PRODUCT OWNERSHIP

Are you skilled at turning complex compliance and security needs into clear, testable outcomes? Are you comfortable using Jira Software to generate epics, user stories, etc? Do you love shaping backlogs, writing crisp acceptance criteria, and working daily with engineering and design to ship increments that matter? Are you fascinated with artificial intelligence?

We are hiring a Product Owner to drive the feature backlog for our Digital Trustify platform, coordinating closely with the Director of Platform Engineering, the CAIO, and our Scrum Master.

You will collaborate with UX/UI, back-end, front-end, DevOps, and AI teams to deliver secure, auditable functionality—questionnaire automation, evidence management, policy workflows, dashboards, and AI-assisted investigations. You will use Jira Software to generate and management workflows across teams.

BACKGROUND

Allendevaux & Company is building a GRC platform called Digital Trustify, a 25-module system that embeds AI at the core. Your mission is to translate customer, compliance, and market signals into a sequenced roadmap and a ready-to-build backlog, ensuring outcomes align with standards (ISO/IEC 27001/27701/42001), risk frameworks (ISO 27005/31000), and NIST guidance.

Must have a laptop that supports collaboration and Microsoft Teams meetings. Company will provide the software.

EXPERIENCE

The right candide will have experience using Jira Software and owning backlogs for B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms, partnering with engineering and design to deliver increments on a cadence. You’re comfortable with discovery (problem framing, scoping, analytics), delivery (story slicing, acceptance criteria, UAT), and measurement (outcome KPIs). Experience in GRC, cybersecurity, or data-protection domains is a plus.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & SKILLS

  • Excellent communicator in English; synthesises technical and regulatory input into plain language.
  • Outcome-oriented; defines measurable success criteria and kills low-value scope early.
  • Collaborative and decisive; balances stakeholder needs with engineering reality.
  • Detail-minded; writes unambiguous stories and acceptance tests (GIVEN-WHEN-THEN).
  • Comfortable with evidence and audit trails in a regulated environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the product backlog: discovery prioritisation refinement acceptance.
  • Define epics, features, and user stories in Jira Software with clear acceptance criteria and non-functionals (security, performance, accessibility, localisation).
  • Run backlog refinement and sprint planning with Tech Leads and the Scrum Master; keep the backlog “Definition of Ready” compliant.
  • Maintain an outcome-based roadmap aligned to OKRs; track KPIs (cycle time, adoption, accuracy of AI-assisted features, reduction in questionnaire turnaround).
  • Partner with the CAIO and AI Systems Architect on AI-backlog items (RAG, evaluation gates, guard-rails) so features pass governance checks.
  • Coordinate with UX/UI for research and design; ensure usability and accessibility targets (WCAG 2.2 AA) are met.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/Platform Infra on release readiness, observability, and rollout plans; support incident triage where product behaviour is implicated.
  • Drive customer discovery (interviews, betas), synthesise insights, and translate them into backlog changes.
  • Own acceptance of completed stories and sprint increments; curate release notes and enablement materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; product or agile certification (PSPO, CSPO, APM) preferred.
  • 4+ years in product roles for B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Proficiency with backlog tools (Jira or Azure DevOps), analytics (Amplitude/GA4), and basic SQL for analysis.
  • Experience writing acceptance criteria and managing UAT in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using Jira Software to generate and track epics and user stories.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are not mandatory, but helpful:

  • GRC/security/privacy exposure (ISO/IEC 27001/27701, ISO 42001, NIST CSF/800-53).
  • Experience with AI-enabled features (RAG workflows, evaluation metrics, guard-rails).
  • Familiarity with design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2).
  • Prior customer-facing work (discovery calls, beta programs, enablement).

If you’re excited to turn complex compliance challenges into clear, testable outcomes—and to ship pragmatic, usable features on a steady cadence—we’d love to hear from you.
