Product owner
Summary of role
- Leads a team of developers and subject matter experts to envision, prioritize and build digital government products
- Has a deep understanding of the target solution end-state and the required actions to get to it
Responsibilities
- Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the development and expert team.
- End-to-end team output strategy from initial planning to production
- Accountable for product-specific KPIs once the solution enters production and communicates regular monitoring updates to stakeholders
- Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team. Maintain a backlog 2 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
- Facilitates sprint reviews and updates all relevant parties with key project updates and potential risk
- Collaborates effectively and works closely with the team on a daily basis
Required qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in information systems, data analytics, data science, computer science, economics, risk management, business administration or another related field
- 6+ years of government technology and / or related product experience
- Intimate knowledge of data-processes and analytical use-cases
- Proven domain knowledge of standard concepts. practices, and procedures within the oraganisation HR and workforce planning
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing digital HR solutions
- Proven ability to understand and prioritize user needs and development backlog
- Proven ability to take full ownership of the workstream, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Skilled in structuring and decomposing to enable effective solution development and implementation
- Strong communication with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and domain experts
- Effective collaboration, experience in leading teams working with Scrum/Agile & task tracking
