A Production Support Product Owner balances traditional PO duties (backlog, vision, stakeholders) with ensuring live system stability, focusing on prioritizing bug fixes, enhancements, and incident resolution (P1/P2s) within the Agile framework, acting as the link between business needs, customer impact, and the development/support team to maintain product health and continuous value delivery
What You’ll Do
- Backlog Management: Prioritizing bug fixes, enhancements, and new features for production systems based on business impact, customer urgency, and technical debt.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Serving as the voice of the customer and business for production issues, communicating impact, and managing expectations with leadership, support teams, and users.
- Incident Triage & Resolution: Working with support/engineering to classify, prioritize, and drive resolution for critical production incidents (P1s/P2s).
- User Story Definition: Translating production issues and enhancement requests into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
- Agile Ceremonies: Participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, providing context for production-related items.
- Product Vision: Ensuring day-to-day fixes and improvements align with the broader product strategy, even in a reactive environment.
- Data & Metrics: Monitoring performance metrics and analyzing production data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for proactive fixes.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with incident management, production support, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
What You Bring
- 3-5 years relevant experience; financial services and/or operations analysis experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or university
