Job Overview: Product Owner will support a distinct product, Portfolio Accounting, that plays a vital role in the accuracy of investment data for internal consumers.Client is building a new in-house, custom-built Portfolio Accounting System designed to deliver timely reconciled account investment data that meets the needs of our downstream products such as Managed Trading and Fee Billing. This role will focus on supporting the development of the new system from the ground up, ensuring accuracy, scalability, stability and regulatory compliance. The Product Owner will work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver a high-impact solution that meets the business objectives.
Location:- Fort Mill, SC(preference), New York, NY
Responsibilities:- Work closely with business and technical partners to align goals and priorities, including providing vision for the team as well as creating and prioritizing the roadmap and backlog.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
- Partner with Product Manager and Business Owner on product discovery for Features/Stories in the backlog.
- Create, prioritize, and clarify Epics and Features in the backlog based on product roadmap, and resolve conflicts with priority using AHA and Jira
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Primary story writer who facilitates user story refinement and provides support to the team and articulates what needs to be accomplished
- Prioritize, thoroughly test and accept the work developed by team(s)
- Be a conduit between the Team and the Business to eliminate interruption
- Meet with Stakeholders to understand the strategic vision for the Product
- Communicate with stakeholders, end users, business and tech and manage results to meet their expectations
- Define and track KPIs to measure product performance, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:- 5+ years of experience inproduct management,product ownership, orproject management.
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically with Portfolio Accounting
- Proven ability to manage complex products with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills required.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
Preferences:- Background in user experience design or client journey mapping.
- Experience in leveraging AI to improve outcomes and increase efficiency.
