Product Purchasing Manager (also referred to as a Purchasing and Product Manager) is a dual-focus professional responsible for both the procurement of goods and the strategic management of product lifecycles. This role bridges the gap between supply chain operations and product development to ensure that an organization acquires high-quality materials or finished goods cost-effectively while meeting market demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Procurement: Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers to meet cost and quality standards.
• Negotiation: Leading contract negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) to maximize profitability.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Overseeing products from concept to phase-out, including conducting market research to inform revisions or new additions.
• Inventory & Demand Planning: Forecasting demand using data analytics to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Vendor Management: Maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers and monitoring their performance regarding delivery speed and reliability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with sales, marketing, and finance teams to coordinate product launches and align purchasing with company budgets.

Core Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related field.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and complex data to make informed buying decisions.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and inventory management software.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal and outstanding communication skills
