We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our U.S.-based supply chain operations. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for someone who combines strong commercial negotiation skills with a technical understanding of AV and IT infrastructure components.
Position Overview
The AV Procurement Manager will oversee vendor relationships, purchasing strategy, pricing optimization, and order lifecycle management. This role works closely with engineering, design, finance, warehouse, and project teams to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of equipment for complex AV integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with AV and network equipment manufacturers and distributors
- Negotiate pricing, rebates, payment terms, and supply agreements
- Identify and onboard new vendors to strengthen supply chain resilience
- Monitor vendor performance (pricing consistency, lead times, service levels, quality)
- Mitigate supply chain risk through forecasting and diversification
BOM & Technical Collaboration
- Review and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) with engineering/design teams
- Ensure specified equipment aligns with vendor availability and pricing programs
- Support bid and proposal pricing strategy
- Recommend alternative or equivalent products when needed
Purchasing & Order Management
- Issue purchase orders and manage the full order lifecycle
- Track shipments, lead times, and backorders
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams
- Resolve pricing, shipping, and quantity discrepancies
Pricing & Cost Control
- Maintain accurate pricing databases
- Track project costs against budgets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support invoice reconciliation and accrual reporting
Process & Systems Improvement
- Refine procurement workflows and compliance standards
- Leverage ERP systems for reporting and visibility
- Develop KPIs related to supplier performance and cost savings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of procurement experience (AV integration, IT infrastructure, or related industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of AV equipment (displays, DSPs, control systems, collaboration platforms) and network hardware
- Proven experience negotiating vendor contracts
- Experience reviewing technical BOMs
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and multi-project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in systems integration or project-based environments
- CPSM or similar certification
- Experience with global sourcing and international logistics
- Familiarity with construction project lifecycles and project accounting
