POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sourcing Coordinator will assist in the sourcing, compliance, and cost benchmarking exercises for cost reduction initiatives for both new and existing products across a wide spectrum of technologies for Implus and private label brands. This role will work cross-functionally with brand teams, product development, packaging, compliance, operations, and overseas offices to ensure new and re-sourced products conform to Implus’ quality standards. Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for tracking and reporting sourcing milestones of assigned projects from concept to delivery, as well as assessing and escalating risk when required.
This role will also maintain product master data and compliance information using interfaces such as MDM, D365, PowerBI, WERCS. Maintains repository for testing and compliance, certificates, spec sheets, factory compliance, and development reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Source new and existing products, coordinate cross-functionally on product costing throughout the product development stage gate process
- Submit RFx, assess BOM’s, report TLC cost, change in price, impact.
- Research re-sourcing impact, customer / retailer impact, annual volumes, request data points as needed
- Lead the sourcing of assigned products focusing on cost, vendor matrix selection, quality, lead time.
- Correspond daily w/ overseas factories and QC team for project updates and problem solving.
- Ensure conformance to all product, packaging, international compliance / testing
Maintain and track costing reports, escalate issues and report milestones

Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Excel regarding spreadsheet report generation and analysis; Intermediate level skill set with other Microsoft Office products and applications.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of cut/sew, soft lines, hardlines, metals, plastics, adhesives, and packaging materials.
- Experience with consumer package goods (CPG) suppliers or development experience
- Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Photoshop
Ability to work independently
Education and Certifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or three (3+) years of combined sourcing and/or product development experience.
