Production Chemist / Production Manager – Cosmetics & Skincare

We are seeking a Production Chemist / Production Manager to manage day-to-day manufacturing operations of cosmetic and skincare products. In the initial phase, the candidate will be responsible for both production execution and supervision, ensuring batches are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Manufacturing

Execute batch manufacturing of creams, lotions, gels, serums, and other topical products

Follow and implement Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs)

Ensure correct weighing, mixing, heating, cooling, and homogenization

Monitor critical process parameters (temperature, mixing speed, time, pH)

Handle scale-up from lab to production batches

Production Management

Plan daily and weekly production schedules

Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process checks and batch release

Supervise production helpers/operators

Ensure line clearance, equipment cleaning, and area readiness

Minimize batch losses, rework, and wastage

Equipment & Facility

Operate and maintain mixers, homogenizers, filling machines

Ensure proper cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance

Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs

Documentation & Compliance

Complete and maintain BMRs, logbooks, and production records

Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and hygiene standards

Support audits and inspections when required

Raw Materials & Coordination

Raise raw material requirements and coordinate with stores

Ensure correct RM issuance and reconciliation

Assist in process improvement and cost optimization

Requirements:

Diploma / Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field

1–2+ years hands-on experience in cosmetic/skincare manufacturing

Strong knowledge of:

Emulsions, gels, surfactant systems

Cosmetic raw materials and preservatives

GMP and production documentation

Ability to work independently and manage production end-to-end

Experience in UAE cosmetic factories is a plus

Salary

AED 2,000 – 3,000 per month (depending on experience & skill level)
