GAL is seeking a Production Controller to support the coordination and control of aircraft maintenance activities within a military aviation maintenance environment.
The role is responsible for monitoring aircraft maintenance status, ensuring accurate documentation and maintenance records, coordinating maintenance priorities, and supporting the effective execution of weekly and monthly maintenance plans. The successful candidate will work closely with Maintenance Control, Production Planning, workshops, stores and logistics teams to support aircraft availability and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and coordinate ongoing aircraft maintenance activities to support operational requirements and scheduled sorties.

Ensure aircraft status, equipment forms, maintenance records and supporting documentation are complete, accurate and up to date.

Support the development and execution of weekly and monthly maintenance schedules and plans.

Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Production Planners, workshops, stores and logistics teams regarding maintenance priorities, component movements and parts requirements.

Review completed maintenance action forms and support accurate entry of maintenance information into the relevant management information system.

Monitor and reconcile Awaiting Parts (AWP) status in coordination with Material Logistics.

Assign priorities for component ordering and repair activities, based on maintenance and operational requirements.

Support controlled substitution or cannibalisation actions, where authorized and operationally required.

Escalate maintenance status changes and operational concerns to the relevant supervisor or manager.

Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, environmental and aircraft maintenance procedures.

Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, maintenance coordination, safety, service delivery and cost performance.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant qualification.
Experience and Technical Requirements

Minimum 4–5 years of experience in an aircraft maintenance, production control or maintenance planning environment.

Experience within an airbase maintenance programme, military aviation environment or MRO facility is preferred.

Good understanding of aircraft maintenance operations, maintenance documentation and aircraft status control.

Knowledge of military aircraft operations and aerospace industry best practices.

Experience coordinating with maintenance, planning, workshops, stores and logistics functions.

Working knowledge of maintenance information systems and standard computer applications; experience with Oracle or similar systems is an advantage.

Understanding of component repair priorities, material coordination and AWP monitoring is preferred.
