Production Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Support daily production operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and operational goals are achieved.

• Provide day-to-day coaching, guidance, and support to production employees while promoting a positive and accountable work environment.

• Coordinate onboarding, training, and cross-training activities to develop employee skills and operational knowledge.

• Monitor employee performance and partner with leadership to identify development opportunities and address performance concerns.

• Assist with workforce planning, staffing coordination, and labor utilization to meet production demands.

• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, food safety requirements, quality standards, and workplace safety expectations.

• Track and communicate key production metrics, including productivity, quality, attendance, and safety performance.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve workflow effectiveness.

• Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives that foster teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks

What You Will Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 4 years of supervisory or lead experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work full-time hours and adjust schedule as necessary to meet production needs.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to stand or move for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks such as handling, equipment, and materials. Clear communication in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing, is essential for effective coordination with the production staff and vendors. Movement within the facility, including production areas and maintenance zones, is necessary to assist in overseeing operations. Flexibility in schedule, including the ability to work weekends or extended hours, is required to meet production demands.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a manufacturing environment, where the individual will be exposed to varying temperatures, including a cold storage area and hot production zones. The work environment may include noise, dust, and occasional exposure to fumes, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and steel-toed boots. The role involves working in both indoor and outdoor settings, with occasional exposure to hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations. The individual must be comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in areas where equipment and machinery are actively operated.
