Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives is looking for a skilled and motivated Danish Speaking Production Engineer to join our Production Engineering department. Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives is a market leader in developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art frequency converters and is one of the biggest electronics manufacturers in Denmark. The converters are produced in a make-to-order setup with very short lead time and a production with very high degree of automation and error proofing in all processes.

The team has the overall responsibility of the manufacturing equipment and processes and ensures that the equipment produces good quality with high availability.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing and driving continuous improvement projects for the PCBA manufacturing process, specifically our SMT line. The role requires a seasoned professional with comprehensive knowledge of electronics production processes, equipment, and quality standards. You will be collaborating closely with our technology department, production supervisors, the maintenance team, and other cross-functional areas to ensure efficient, reliable, and high-quality manufacturing operations

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining and optimizing manufacturing processes for the SMT line, including SPI, pick-and-place machines, screeners, reflow soldering, and AOI.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving corrective actions for any process deviations.
  • Performing line balancing and process capability analysis to increase throughput and minimize waste.
  • Creating and updating essential process documentation such as standard operation procedures, control plans, PFMEA, and MSA.
  • Providing technical support to production teams to resolve process-related issues and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Supporting prototype runs on the SMT line and validating the process performance for new products.
  • Ensuring full compliance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001).
  • Leading root cause analysis for production issues and implementing robust corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing.
  • Deep experience in production processes with a strong understanding of electronic assembly processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in process analysis tools like Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and fishbone diagrams.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as PPAP, MSA, calibration, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC.
  • Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.


Preferred Qualifications:
IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001).
