Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor production processes to enhance efficiency and quality in a manufacturing facility.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues affecting production performance and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD tools to design tooling, fixtures, and process layouts.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machines, robotics, and vision inspection systems.
- Oversee plastics injection molding processes, including tooling setup and optimization for high-volume production.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and streamline operations on assembly lines and fabrication areas.
- Create schematics, technical drawings, and process documentation adhering to GD&T standards.
- Lead process engineering efforts for continuous improvement projects aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on fabrication, tooling development, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Manage project scheduling for new product launches or process upgrades within the manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industrial equipment standards while maintaining operational excellence.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience in manufacturing or factory settings with hands-on knowledge of assembly lines, robotics, CNC programming, and industrial equipment.
- Strong background in process engineering, lean manufacturing methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; experience with CAM programming is advantageous.
- Familiarity with industrial engineering concepts including schematics interpretation, GD&T standards, tooling design, and vision inspection systems.
- Experience working within ISO 9001 certified environments is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with skills in robotics programming, welding, fabrication, tooling development, and CNC operations will be highly valued.
