Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Production Engineer to support day-to-day manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for process follow-up, production progress monitoring, and cross-department coordination to ensure smooth execution of sheet metal fabrication and assembly projects.

This role requires strong communication skills, drawing interpretation ability, and hands-on coordination across departments like estimation, purchase, stores, quality, and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Process Follow-up

• Monitor daily production activities across fabrication, bending, welding, finishing, and assembly.
• Ensure process flow adherence as per production plan.
• Track job progress and highlight delays or bottlenecks.
• Follow up with operators and supervisors to ensure timely completion.

Process Progress Updating

• Update production status in ERP / production tracking sheets.
• Maintain daily production reports.
• Ensure accurate WIP tracking.
• Support Assistant Production Manager with data for planning decisions.

Inter-Department Coordination

• Coordinate with:
• Planning team for job priorities.
• Purchase for material availability.
• Stores for raw material and component tracking.
• Quality team for inspection scheduling.
• Dispatch for shipment timelines.
• Ensure smooth communication between departments.

Drawing & Technical Understanding

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Understand sheet metal tolerances, fabrication processes, and assembly requirements.
• Identify discrepancies between drawing and production feasibility.

Continuous Improvement

• Suggest improvements in workflow and process efficiency.
• Support implementation of SOPs and process discipline.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and energetic work approach.
• Good problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, basic reporting).
• Good understanding of engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal processes (Laser cutting, Bending, Welding, Powder coating – preferred).

Qualification & Experience

• BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
• 1–2 years of experience in production / manufacturing (Preferably sheet metal or fabrication industry)
• Freshers with strong drawing skills and manufacturing interest may also apply (optional – if you want)

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
