Job PurposeThe Assistant Manager - Industrial Engineering is responsible for driving productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization across football manufacturing operations. The role focuses on method engineering, time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, layout optimization, and lean implementation to ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments.Key ResponsibilitiesIndustrial Engineering & Productivity Conduct time and motion studies for football stitching, panel cutting, lamination, bladder fitting, and finishing processes. Develop and maintain standard minute values (SMVs) for all operations. Perform line balancing to optimize manpower utilization and reduce bottlenecks. Monitor and improve labor productivity, efficiency, and output per operator.Capacity Planning & Layout Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly capacity plans in coordination with Production and PPC. Design and improve factory layouts, workstation ergonomics, and material flow to reduce handling and non-value-added time. Evaluate machinery and manpower requirements based on demand forecasts.Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Implement Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, VSM, and waste elimination initiatives. Identify process losses (idle time, rework, rejection, excess motion) and drive corrective actions. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.Production Support & Coordination Support production teams in achieving daily production targets and efficiency KPIs. Participate in pre-production meetings, method finalization, and pilot runs for new ball models. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, and HR for smooth operational execution.Reporting & Data Analysis Prepare and analyze IE reports including efficiency, utilization, downtime, and incentive calculations. Ensure accuracy of production data and support management with actionable insights. Develop and monitor performance dashboards for IE KPIs.Training & Team Development Train supervisors and operators on standard methods, best practices, and productivity techniques. Support skill matrix development and multi-skilling initiatives. Guide and mentor IE officers and staff on the shop floor.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Line efficiency and labor productivity SMV accuracy and achievement Cost per ball / labor cost reduction WIP reduction and throughput improvement Lean implementation effectivenessQualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. 4-7 years of relevant IE experience in a manufacturing environment (sports goods, leather products, garments, or similar industries preferred). Hands-on experience with manual and semi-automated production systems.Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering tools and techniques Proficiency in MS Excel, data analysis, and reporting Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Effective communication and cross-functional coordination Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
