Job Purpose
The Production Engineer will manage the fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing, and dispatch support of PLC control panels. The role ensures panels are built to specification, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time while supporting continuous improvement in production efficiency and shop-floor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily production of PLC panels, RIO Panels, System Cabinets, Server Cabinets, Network Cabinets, Marshalling Cabinets, Relay Panels, DB Panels, junction boxes, and associated control panels.
- Interpret electrical drawings, wiring schematics, panel layouts, I/O lists, and Bill of Materials.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, QA/QC, stores, and project teams to ensure smooth material flow and on-time execution.
- Markup mechanical arrangement as per the drawing, support component fixing, liaise with the store to arrange materials, support the installation of cable duct, components rails.
- Oversee panel assembly, wiring, ferruling, component mounting, gland plate work, and internal cable dressing.
- Review PLC hardware installation, network components, power supply arrangement, and related control devices.
- Monitor production schedules, manpower allocation, material shortages, and progress against target dates.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and pre-commissioning of PLC panels before dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and electrical standards during manufacturing.
- Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain production records, inspection reports, test checklists, and daily progress reports.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in PLC panel manufacturing, electrical panel assembly, or industrial automation production.
- Practical knowledge of PLC systems, control components, relays, contactors, sensors, HMIs, and VFD interfaces.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, PLC Wiring and panel BOMs.
- Experience with assisting panel testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning support with respective teams.
Preferred Skills
- Hardware knowledge and system exposure to PLC brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Yokogawa, ABB, Mitsubishi, or Schneider.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and shop-floor leadership skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation, quality systems, and lean production methods.
- Good communication skills to work with design, production, and client teams.
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
