Production / Factory Manager – Sportswear Apparel

A sportswear manufacturing company in Karachi is looking for an experienced and responsible Production / Factory Manager to handle day-to-day operations, manage production teams, ensure timely order completion, and provide accurate daily reporting to the management.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution

• Convert customer orders into detailed production plans.
• Set daily/weekly targets for cutting, printing/embellishment, stitching, and finishing teams.
• Monitor WIP (work in progress) throughout the day and remove bottlenecks.
• Ensure all orders are completed on the committed timelines.

2. Technical & Process Supervision

• Oversee pattern, cutting, stitching, and finishing processes.
• Approve the first sample before bulk production.
• Ensure measurements, size specifications, and quality standards are followed.
• Maintain disciplined and accurate cutting to reduce wastage.

3. Quality Control

• Implement QC checks at each production stage.
• Identify defects early and prevent rework.
• Keep logs of rejections, alterations, and overall quality issues.

4. Material & Inventory Control

• Issue fabric and materials order-wise based on consumption requirements.
• Track planned vs actual consumption for each order.
• Coordinate with stores/purchasing for timely material availability.

5. Team Management & Floor Discipline

• Supervise workers across cutting, printing/embellishment, stitching, finishing, and packing.
• Monitor daily attendance, productivity, and discipline.
• Train team members to meet quality standards and improve efficiency.
• Manage overtime and manpower allocation as needed.

6. Reporting to Management

• Share daily production reports through WhatsApp/Google Sheets.
• Send photos/videos of ongoing work and completed batches.
• Provide weekly summaries of output, challenges, and improvements.
• Communicate issues immediately and transparently.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5–7 years experience in garment production management.
• Experience in sportswear or activewear factories preferred.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, measurements, and QC.
• Ability to manage 20–40 production staff and meet deadlines.
• Good skills in Excel/Google Sheets for daily reporting.
• Honest, responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently.
