Role Summary
The Production Finance Manager is a vital part of the production team, responsible for financial oversight, budgeting, cost control, payroll processing, reporting, and compliance throughout the production lifecycle. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, knowledge of union payroll, taxes, and the ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
ROLE PROFILE

Develop and manage production budgets, track costs and forecasts, produce weekly financial reports, and monitor overall studio budget including partner payments.

Be present on set during production to oversee weekly payments and ensure real-time expense monitoring.

Oversee crew payroll, manage petty cash, per diems, P-cards, and ensure adequate cash flow; handle banking setup and documentation.

Process and code invoices and expense reports, reconcile accounts, and audit reimbursements for policy compliance.

Maintain general ledger and trial balances, generate financial reports, support audits and tax filings, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

Utilize industry-standard financial tools (e.g., Movie Magic, SAP, SmartAccounting), recommend process improvements, and maintain organized records.

Supervise junior finance staff, coordinate with Legal, Business Affairs, and Production, and act as liaison with corporate finance.

Deliver financial management for at least 5 productions annually, take on additional tasks as needed, and be willing to travel.
Requirements

8–10 years of production accounting experience in film, TV, or digital media; Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA/CAPPA is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros) and familiarity with production accounting software (e.g., Movie Magic, SmartAccounting, MediaWeb).

Solid understanding of tax incentives, compliance across regions, and local currency managementespecially in Egyptian productions.

Experience supporting audits or financial reviews; committed to integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.

Self-starter with strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time management abilities; thrives under pressure with attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written, including script reading), with strong English communication skills; excels in interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration.
