Production Head – Tannery Department

Location: Karachi Export Processing Zone (EPZ)

A well-established tannery operation located at Karachi EPZ is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Production Head to lead and manage end-to-end tannery production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and control overall tannery production operations from raw hide to finished leather.
• Ensure production targets are achieved with optimal quality, efficiency, and cost control.
• Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for leather processing.
• Maintain strict compliance with environmental, safety, and EPZ regulations.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
• Optimize manpower planning, machine utilization, and production scheduling.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Leather Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of proven experience in tannery operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of wet-blue, crust, and finished leather processes.
• In-depth understanding of chemicals, machinery, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in EPZ or export-oriented units will be an added advantage.
