Job Title: Production In-Charge – Joinery Division

Experience: 15+ Years in Joinery / Woodworking Production

Role Summary:

The Production In-Charge – Joinery Division is responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations in the joinery workshop, ensuring efficient manufacturing of high-quality woodwork products such as cabinets, wardrobes, doors, and custom furniture. The role involves production planning, machine operations, manpower supervision, and maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to meet project timelines.

Optimize workflow and resource allocation to improve productivity and reduce wastage. Coordinate with design, estimation, and project teams for smooth production execution.

2. Machine Operations & Technical Expertise

Operate and supervise CNC machines, including programming with G-code and M-code. Handle Beam Saw operations for accurate cutting as per cutting lists.

Oversee Lipping / Edge Banding machine operations for finishing works.

Ensure efficient use of manual woodworking machines and tools.

3. Cutting List & Drawing Interpretation

Prepare and verify cutting lists based on approved shop drawings.

Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications accurately.

Ensure production aligns with design requirements and client specifications.

4. Joinery & Cabinet Manufacturing

Supervise manufacturing of joinery items including cabinets, wardrobes, doors, paneling, and custom furniture.

Ensure adherence to quality standards and finishing requirements.

5. Quality Control & Inspection

Implement quality control procedures at all stages of production.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet specifications and standards.

Identify and rectify defects or deviations promptly.

6. Maintenance & Equipment Management

Ensure preventive maintenance schedules for all machines and equipment.

Minimize downtime through proactive troubleshooting and coordination with maintenance teams.

7. Manpower Management & Leadership

Supervise and lead production teams, including operators, carpenters, and helpers. Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are achieved. Train and guide team members on best practices and safety procedures.

8. Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.

Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety checks.

Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with company policies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code)

Expertise in joinery production and woodworking machinery

Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and technical plans

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability

Knowledge of quality control processes and safety standards

Qualifications:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Wood Technology (preferred)

Industry Experience: Interior Fit-Out / Joinery / Furniture Manufacturing Industry
