Position Summary:
The Production & Inventory Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, ensuring material availability, and managing inventory levels to support efficient manufacturing operations. This role collaborates closely with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to align demand, capacity, and supply, while minimizing costs, preventing shortages, and avoiding excess stock.
Essential Functions:

Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on forecasts, capacity, and customer demand.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods.

Analyze demand patterns, production capacity, and lead times to optimize material flow.

Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely material ordering and delivery.

Coordinate with production teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and minimize bottlenecks.

Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory turns, on-time delivery, and schedule adherence.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in planning and inventory management.

Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and ensure data integrity across systems.

Support new product introductions with material planning and readiness.

Proactively communicate delays, changes, or risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field (preferred).

5+ years of experience in production planning, inventory control, or supply chain management.

Experience working in manufacturing or production environments.

Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
