Job Purpose:
This role will be responsible for managing a team of crew members, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Result Areas:
Oversee and participate in critical production activities to meet yield and quality targets.
Ensure timely execution of planting, harvesting, packaging, and post-harvest operations.
Monitor and communicate material requirements (seeds, nutrients, tools) to avoid downtime.
Track usage and ensure optimal inventory levels of production inputs.
Implement and monitor adherence to the company's food safety plans.
Ensure strict hygiene practices in food-safe areas and across the facility.
Promote a culture of safety by enforcing the use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
Uphold and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all production tasks.
Train team members on production tasks, safety, and SOP updates.
Conduct regular inspections and enforce sanitation schedules.

Minimum Education, Experience and Skills:
Educational Qualification:
High school diploma (12-year graduate) or equivalent.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead role within an agricultural or horticultural facility.
Experience in indoor vertical farming or Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) is highly desirable.
Skills:
Proficiency in managing farming operations and leading a team.
Knowledge of optimal plant growth conditions and food safety protocols.
Experience with farm management software and data analysis.
Experience with Microsoft Office
