Production Line Set-Up Mechanic

Davion, Inc.–one of the largest private label and contract manufacturers of personal care products in the US–is seeking a Production Line Set-up Mechanic for our Newark facility.

Production Line Set-up Mechanic

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in changing packaging lines over to new containers
• Learn all production equipment including fillers, cappers, pressure-sensitive labelers, induction heating, case sealers, shrink bundlers, and batching equipment.
• Assist in production during downtime ( no changeovers)
• Cognizant of daily production numbers and suggest areas of improvement
• Work and follow all company rules and regulations including LOCKOUT TAG OUT
• Work in machine shop as directed and learn operation of tools in shop
• Knowledge of welding is a plus
• Assist in all areas of production as directed by management
• MUST be available to work overtime as requested
• Manage all tools in your possession
• Keep machine shop clean and organized
• Assist management on any additional projects

Working Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:15 PM plus Overtime

Requirements:

• High school or equivalent
• Bilingual preferred -( English and Spanish)
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work environment
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
• Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of welding is a plus
