PRODUCTION LINE WELDER First Shift
POSITION OVERVIEW: We're seeking a Production Line MIG Welder to support our daily shop production operations. This role focuses on repetitive welding tasks requiring consistency, speed, and quality. The ideal candidate brings solid MIG welding experience, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain production pace while following standardized processes and fixtures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welding Operations
- Perform MIG (hardwire) welding on production parts to specifications
- Follow fixtures, jigs, and standardized welding processes consistently
- Load and unload parts to maintain continuous production flow
- Perform basic part fit-up and alignment before welding
- Execute repetitive welds with consistent quality and appearance
- Adjust welding parameters as needed within established guidelines
Quality Control
- Inspect welds for consistency, quality, and adherence to standards
- Identify and report defects or quality issues promptly
- Make minor adjustments to maintain weld quality
- Ensure all work meets production specifications
- Maintain consistent bead appearance and penetration
Equipment & Maintenance
- Operate basic shop equipment including grinders and hand tools
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Change welding wire and consumables as needed
- Keep welding area clean and organized
- Follow 5S standards and housekeeping protocols
- Report equipment issues or maintenance needs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MIG welding experience with demonstrated proficiency
- Ability to follow repeatable processes and standardized procedures
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Reliable attendance and ability to maintain production pace
- Basic understanding of welding safety and PPE requirements
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift parts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a production or manufacturing welding environment
- Familiarity with welding fixtures and jigs
- Ability to read basic welding symbols and work instructions
- Experience with high-volume repetitive welding
- Previous work in a team-based production setting
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Full-time, shop-based position

Job Type: Full-time
