What we are looking for at QPSI?

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead daily operations on the manufacturing floor within our contract packaging and assembly facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and problem solver who can manage multiple shifts, ensure production schedules are achieved, and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. The Production Manager plays a vital role in driving operational performance by providing leadership to supervisors and production teams, implementing best practices, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This individual ensures that all operations are executed in accordance with established procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements while fostering collaboration across all departments.

What our Production Manager will be accountable for at QPSI?

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Provide leadership across all shifts through supervision, coaching, and coordination with shift supervisors to ensure consistent performance and accountability.
  • Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and staffing levels to meet customer demand while maintaining labor cost and productivity targets.
  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, output, and quality metrics, using data to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, safety checks, and production meetings to align teams on goals and improvement initiatives.
  • Support the Plant/Operations Manager in evaluating and implementing improvements in production control systems, SOPs, and equipment utilization.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure timely resolution of production issues and adherence to cGMP and safety standards.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and engagement

What Qualified Candidates for the Production Manager role must have to be successful at QPSI?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of production leadership experience in production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of packaging machinery, materials handling, and corrugated assembly operations.
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost through effective leadership and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is essential
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality and company values.
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access; ERP experience preferred.
