Job Description: The Production Manager serves as the single point of contact to respond to all trouble calls by shore and shipboard customers regarding issues with their Material Handling Equipment and Shipboard Mobile Support Equipment (MHE/SMSE).

Job Requirements/skill sets:

• Candidate must have [10] years of supervisory experience in production control with at least [5] years in a production environment associated with shipboard and shore based MHE/SMSE
• Conduct a preliminary assessment of all trouble calls and open a work order with standard industry labor hours and dispatch calls to Mobile Service Mechanics.
• Responsible for coordinating all transportation movements of MHE/SMSE.
• Ability for cross-training in the Material Expediter basic functions to provide the necessary back-up support when the material expediter is unavailable.
• Knowledge and experience with the Defense Property Accounting System [DPAS] Maintenance and Utilization Module is required.
• Responsible for monitoring Mobile Service mechanics’ progress to access, troubleshoot, isolate and resolve trouble calls within [96] hours [based on a 24-hour clock].
• Responsible to track all open and closed trouble calls, monitor the Mobile Service Mechanics’ labor hours and ensure the meeting of proper repair time standards.
• Schedule Preventive and Cyclic maintenance services on all customer and pool MHE/SMSE units every [90] days in accordance with equipment service manuals and publications.
• Ability to forecast and maintain a level workload of production each month for Preventative and Cyclic maintenance.

Education Requirements: High school degree or higher

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
