DFAP (Disney Fine Art Photography) is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Photography Retoucher with exceptional technical expertise and a strong eye for detail to lead and manage the post-production workflow for our photography retouch team. This role combines advanced retouching capabilities with project management responsibilities, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all image editing assignments.
This is an Hourly Full-Time role reporting to the Disney Fine Art Photography Manager.
Perform high-end photo retouching, color correction, compositing, and image enhancements for marketing, editorial, and event photography.
Maintain brand consistency and visual standards across all imagery.
Apply expert knowledge of lighting, skin tones, textures, and product detailing to create a cohesive look.
Oversee the assignment and completion of retouching projects for a team of retouchers.
Develop and manage timelines, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Act as the primary point of contact between photographers, retouching team, and QC team, and web posters.
Monitor workload distribution and provide guidance to team member
Work closely with photographers, retouch team, QC team, web posters and leadership to understand creative direction.
Demonstrated ability to provide constructive role-related feedback, mentorship and coaching to photographers and junior retouchers.
Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced creative environment with multiple concurrent projects.
Occasional extended hours during peak production periods.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and digital imaging workflows.
Knowledge of print and digital output requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and artistic sensibility.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and mentoring/training abilities.
Ability to build strong relationships through interpersonal and partnering skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines or responding to unplanned needs
Minimum 3+ years of professional retouching experience, preferably in a high-volume or luxury brand environment.
Familiarity with Capture One and other retouching tools.
Proven experience managing projects and providing directions to a team.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
