Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage workshop production activities for structural steel, piping/spool fabrication, tanks, skids, and miscellaneous mechanical fabrication works. The candidate must have strong hands-on workshop fabrication experience and the ability to manage manpower, production targets, quality, and delivery schedules in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily workshop production activities.
• Manage fabrication works related to:
• Structural steel fabrication
• Shop piping / spool fabrication
• Tanks and pressure-related fabrication
• Skids and miscellaneous steel fabrication
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per project schedule.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Planning, Procurement, and Stores departments for smooth workflow.
• Monitor fabrication productivity, manpower allocation, and material utilization.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, WPS, ITP, and project specifications.
• Lead and supervise production engineers, supervisors, foremen, welders, fabricators, and fitters.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Conduct daily production meetings and resolve fabrication bottlenecks.
• Prepare production progress reports and manpower reports.
• Optimize workshop efficiency and reduce fabrication rework.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams regarding production progress and delivery schedules.

Minimum RequirementsEducation

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in fabrication industry.
• Minimum 5 years in Production Manager / Assistant Manager / Senior Production Engineer level.

Mandatory Background

Candidates must have worked in:

• Structural steel fabrication companies
• Mechanical fabrication contractors
• Workshop-based fabrication environments

Required Fabrication Experience

Hands-on workshop fabrication experience in at least two of the following:

• Structural steel fabrication
• Shop piping / spool fabrication
• Tank fabrication
• Skids / miscellaneous steel / mechanical packages

Preferred Experience

• Middle East experience preferred (Qatar/UAE/KSA/Oman).
• Experience in oil & gas fabrication projects will be an advantage.

• Pure site erection backgrounds
• Estimation/planning-only profiles

• Knowledge of welding and fabrication standards
• Ability to read fabrication drawings
• Production reporting and coordination
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Available in Qatar preferably
