Job Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on project requirements.
- Allocate manpower, machines, and materials to ensure on‑time delivery of joinery and fit‑out items.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, QS, and Procurement to align production with site priorities.
- Monitor production capacity and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
2. Factory Operations Management
- Oversee all factory activities including cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, and packing.
- Ensure machines (CNC, edge bander, panel saw, sanding, spray booth) are operated efficiently.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials (MDF, plywood, veneers, hardware).
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet approved shop drawings, specifications, and QA/QC standards.
- Conduct in‑process inspections and final quality checks before dispatch.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for NCR closure, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and UAE Fire & Life Safety requirements.
4. Manpower Management
- Supervise carpenters, machine operators, painters, polishers, and helpers.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met.
- Conduct training for new workers on machinery, safety, and production techniques.
- Resolve manpower issues and maintain a disciplined work environment.
5. Material & Resource Management
- Review material requirements and coordinate with Procurement for timely availability.
- Monitor consumption of wood, veneers, laminates, adhesives, hardware, and finishing materials.
- Reduce wastage through optimized cutting lists and efficient resource planning.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper documentation.
6. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with Project Managers, Design Team, and Site Engineers for technical clarifications.
- Attend coordination meetings to update progress and resolve production‑related issues.
- Communicate delays, risks, and resource needs to management proactively.
7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure strict implementation of HSE procedures in the factory.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers use PPE.
- Ensure safe operation of machines and compliance with Civil Defense requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free factory environment.
8. Cost Control & Reporting
- Monitor production costs, labor hours, and material usage.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Prepare daily/weekly production reports for management review.
- Track KPIs such as productivity, rejection rate, and delivery performance.
9. Technical & Engineering Support
- Review shop drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to carpenters and machine operators.
- Ensure feasibility of designs before production and suggest modifications when required.
10. Logistics & Delivery Management
- Coordinate with logistics team for packing, loading, and delivery of finished items.
- Ensure proper labeling, protection, and documentation for dispatch.
- Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely site installation.
