Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising manufacturing activities related to duct insulation materials, PVC tape, and phenolic duct panels. The role ensures production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and cost efficiency are achieved while maintaining smooth factory operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations

• Plan and manage daily production activities for:
• HVAC duct insulation products
• PVC adhesive tapes
• Phenolic duct panels
• Ensure production schedules are achieved on time.
• Monitor machine utilization and production efficiency.
• Minimize downtime and production losses.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Quality Control

• Ensure products meet customer and industry standards.
• Monitor raw material quality and finished product inspections.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
• Maintain ISO and factory quality procedures.

Team Management

• Supervise production supervisors, machine operators, and helpers.
• Train employees on production procedures and safety practices.
• Manage manpower allocation and shift planning.
• Improve worker productivity and discipline.

Inventory & Materials

• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
• Monitor raw material consumption and wastage.
• Ensure availability of insulation materials, adhesives, aluminum foil, kraft paper, PVC film, chemicals, and phenolic foam materials.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with factory safety regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
• Maintain proper use of PPE and safe machine operation.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce cost.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Improve production processes for better output and reduced waste.

Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Track KPIs such as:
• Production output
• Rejection rate
• Machine efficiency
• Downtime
• Material wastage
• Labor productivity

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5–10 years of production/manufacturing experience.
• Experience in HVAC insulation, PVC tape, adhesive products, or phenolic panel manufacturing preferred.
