Job Summary:
The Production Manager oversees the complete production operations of the diesel generator division, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality output, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety and industry standards. This role manages production teams, coordinates with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and service departments, and ensures optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Management
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales orders and project requirements.
- Allocate manpower, materials, and machinery efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Ensure smooth workflow for assembly, fabrication, wiring, testing, painting, and packaging of diesel generator sets.
- Coordinate closely with Procurement to ensure timely availability of engines, alternators, controllers, radiators, AVM pads, and other BoM components.
- Monitor production KPIs (output, efficiency, downtime, scrap, rework).
Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor production staff including technicians, fabricators, electricians, and assembly teams.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks, performance reviews, and skills-development training.
- Enforce company policies, shift schedules, attendance, and discipline.
Quality control and Compliance
- Ensure all generator sets comply with QA/QC standards and customer specifications.
- Oversee performance testing, load testing, functional tests, and inspections.Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Coordinate with the QC department to reduce defects, rework, and warranty claims.
Process Improvement and Control:
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).
- Reduce production bottlenecks, downtime, and material wastage.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery, tools, and testing equipment.
- Optimize material usage and labor productivity to reduce operational costs.
Coordination with other Department:
- Work closely with Engineering to review technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and customer specifications.
- Support the Sales & Projects team with technical inputs, delivery timelines, and production feasibility.
- Liaise with Logistics for dispatch planning and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Service/After-Sales regarding testing results, commissioning concerns, and customer feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in the generator manufacturing, assembly, or power solutions industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines (Cummins, Perkins, MTU, Volvo, etc.) and alternators (Stamford, Leroy Somer, Mecc Alte).
- Experience in production management, quality control, and technical testing.
- Understanding of Generator assembly and wiring
- Engine-Alternator coupling
- Load testing and performance testing
- ATS, synchronizing panels, canopies, and skid fabrication
- BoM and Technical drawings
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
