Compensation: Up to $115,000 base salary + performance bonus + comprehensive benefits

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at a high-performing facility in Fremont, Ohio.
This role oversees all aspects of molding, assembly, and production performance, ensuring that quality, safety, and efficiency standards meet or exceed customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in lean manufacturing, leadership development, and continuous improvement, with the ability to foster collaboration and accountability across shifts.
Oversee all manufacturing operations including molding and final assembly to ensure customer quality and delivery standards are achieved.
Assess employee capabilities and provide hands-on training in equipment operation, materials handling, quality requirements, and standard work processes.
Ensure the quality of all shipped products meets customer and internal specifications, adhering to IATF16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
Communicate and enforce all operating policies, procedures, and safety standards across the production team.
Lead and mentor Shift Supervisors, Process Technicians, and Team Leads, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Drive implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles — including Value Stream Mapping, standardized work, and 5S.
Actively engage in safety initiatives, ensuring that all production and housekeeping issues are identified, addressed, and documented promptly.
Partner with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to optimize uptime, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
Manage production scheduling, resource allocation, and reporting to meet key plant metrics for cost, quality, and delivery.
Support and enforce all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) regulations and initiatives within assigned areas.
5+ years of progressive production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPS, or Value Stream Mapping.
Solid understanding of IATF16949 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental systems.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Excellent communication, analytical, and business acumen.
Proficiency in ERP/CMMS systems for production scheduling, inventory, and cost tracking.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Knowledge of current safety, environmental, and employment legislation.
