Production Oversight
- Develop and manage daily production schedules to meet project deadlines and delivery milestones.
- Supervise all fabrication activities including cutting, welding, fitting, drilling, and finishing.
- Ensure adherence to shop drawings, engineering specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor workstations and fabrication processes for efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Resolve technical issues related to fabrication methods, material inconsistencies, or equipment performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and drafting teams to clarify design intent and resolve drawing discrepancies.
- Track production metrics and KPIs to evaluate performance and implement process improvements.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and recommend upgrades to enhance productivity.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure all fabricated components meet required tolerances and specifications.
- Conduct inspections and audits of welds, materials, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with AISC, AWS, and other relevant industry codes and standards.
Safety & Risk Management
- Enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and company guidelines.
- Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for production staff.
- Identify and mitigate hazards in the fabrication environment to promote a culture of safety.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor fabrication personnel, including welders, fitters, and machine operators.
- Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action as needed.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of skilled labor in collaboration with HR.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and estimators to align production with project requirements.
- Participate in planning meetings and provide input on fabrication feasibility and timelines.
- Support logistics coordination for deliveries and field installation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication management or related field.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and steel standards.
- Familiarity with fabrication software (e.g., FabSuite, Tekla) is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive performance.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
