Job Description
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising end-to-end production operations to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, efficiency, and cost control. The role requires overseeing production teams, monitoring workflows, maintaining productivity, and ensuring smooth coordination with warehouse, procurement, and management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to meet business targets and deadlines.
- Develop and implement production schedules based on order requirements and inventory needs.
- Monitor production output and ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
- Supervise production staff, line supervisors, and team members to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for material availability and inventory planning.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions for process improvement.
- Monitor wastage and implement measures to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, workplace safety regulations, and operational policies.
- Prepare production reports including output, efficiency, manpower utilization, and performance metrics.
- Conduct team evaluations, provide training, and support employee development initiatives.
- Manage workforce planning including shift allocation and manpower requirements.
- Handle production-related issues and escalate critical matters where required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Textile Management, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in production management will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in production management within retail/apparel manufacturing.
- Experience managing production teams and handling end-to-end production operations.
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and process optimization.
