Production & Managerial Arts Instructor

Position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Job Summary

Under the direction of an Instructional Administrator, a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) instructor provides instruction to secondary school or adult students in competency-based, career technical education courses in order to prepare them for college and career. ROP classes are taught by instructors who have trained and worked in the industry they are teaching. Once hired, instructors must enter a teacher credential program and ROP provides additional training and coaching support. Many ROP classes provide real-world experience by placing students in work-based learning. Requirements / Qualifications

Three (3) years of industry work experience directly related to the Production & Managerial Arts pathway (for Credential eligibility).

Applicant must have at least earned a high school diploma to meet CTC CTE requirements for CTE Credential.

Teaching Credential: The successful candidate must qualify for or possess a California Career Technical Education (CTE) or Designated Subjects Teaching Credential: Arts, Media, & Entertainment. NOCROP will assist you in starting the credentialing process. Production & Managerial Arts (only instructors of Film/Video courses)
* Applicant must possess industry experience that encompasses traditional photography, black and white film development and video production, editing, composition, scriptwriting, and creating storyboards.
* Applicant must possess the required knowledge: Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud®
* Applicant with a bachelor's degree in communications or a related field is desirable.

OR
Production & Managerial Arts (only instructors of Multimedia courses)
* Applicant must possess industry experience that encompasses film and video production, editing, cinematography techniques, photography, graphic design, and visual communication strategies
* Applicant must demonstrate proficiency with both Mac and P.C. platforms
* Applicant must possess the required software knowledge: Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud®
* Applicant must have experience with web-based content management systems, video optimization, and archival techniques.

The required physical requirements for the position include: walking, talking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, hearing, reaching above the shoulders, the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and visual acuity (including color, depth perception, and field of vision). Pay: $5,782.30 - $7,212.70 per month
