Operating from our 20,000-square-foot facility in Queens, New York, we provide complete in-house fabrication solutions including engineering support, CNC machining, robotic welding, laser cutting, sandblasting, zinc metallizing, powder coating, and custom metal manufacturing.
• As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Production & Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing operations, optimize production flow, and drive operational excellence.

Position Summary

• The Production & Operations Manager will oversee all day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring projects are produced safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will manage shop personnel, production planning, workflow coordination, equipment utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the fabrication and finishing departments

• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines

• Coordinate workflow between engineering, purchasing, fabrication, finishing, and shipping

• Supervise shop foremen, welders, fabricators, machine operators, painters, and support staff

• Monitor labor productivity, shop efficiency, and project performance

• Ensure quality standards and fabrication specifications are consistently met

• Manage inventory, material flow, and production resources
Implement and maintain OSHA and company safety standards

• Review fabrication drawings and production requirements before release to the shop

• Troubleshoot production challenges and develop solutions to improve efficiency

• Track key performance metrics and report directly to executive leadership

• Lead hiring, training, and performance management of shop personnel

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices


Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or steel production

• Strong understanding of welding, fabrication, machining, and finishing processes

• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings

• Experience managing production schedules, manpower, and shop operations

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety programs

• Experience with ERP, production tracking, or manufacturing software preferred

• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Arabic is a plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
