Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Production Packaging Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and compliant packaging of gummy candy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. As a key contributor, you'll help maintain high standards by executing packaging processes that meet industry regulations and company specifications, all while supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation.

Duties

• Operate vertical fill form packaging machinery and equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to facilitate seamless production flow
• Optimize machine parameters by product type to achieve the highest efficiency possible
• Conduct quality inspections to verify packaging integrity, label accuracy, and compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards (such as lot code and best by date accuracy)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturing standards
• Lead mechanical troubleshooting of packaging equipment and perform routine maintenance as required
• Develop and ensure adherence to preventative maintenance plans of the vertical fill form machines
• Support warehouse operations by managing inventory levels of packaging materials and documenting usage

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools and troubleshooting machinery issues
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and machine parameters used in manufacturing processes
• General knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and safety protocols relevant to pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environments
• Hands-on experience with packaging processes, assembly lines, and manufacturing workflows
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within warehouse settings
• Excellent attention to detail for quality control inspections and documentation accuracy
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members across production shifts
