We are a well-established manufacturing company headquartered in Inglewood, CA, producing complex products for commercial, scientific, and military customers worldwide. The company has been operating successfully for over 25 years and is entering a period of system modernization and long-term growth.
This role is ideal for a Production Planner who is patient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within an older ERP environment while supporting changes over the next several years as a new ERP is implemented.
If you have Vantage experience, that's a plus. If not, we care more about your ability to stay organized, adaptable, and proactive as systems evolve.
What You'll Be Responsible For

Plan, release, monitor, reschedule, update, and close production work orders

Expedite WIP and adjust schedules based on material availability and capacity changes

Partner with Manufacturing Engineering on BOMs, routings, and work center setup

Participate in regular Operations meetings to align production priorities with Sales requirements

Capture and communicate BOM details through work order release

Participate in ECO activity related to structure or routing changes

Track in-work product and coordinate outsourced subassemblies with Purchasing

Review and verify labor and material postings and ensure accurate work order closure

Use ERP tools to report capacity requirements, including overtime needs

Review open sales orders daily to prepare product ahead of shipping dates

Monitor dispatch activity to ensure accurate, on-time transactions across operations

Work proactively with Manufacturing Supervisors, Procurement, and cross-functional teams to keep schedules on track
What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
or AA degree with 5+ years of production or materials planning experience -
Strong working knowledge of ERP and MRP principles

Epicor or Vantage experience is a plus, not required

Solid understanding of BOMs, routings, and manufacturing workflows

Experience coordinating Production, Purchasing, and Engineering functions

Working knowledge of Excel for tracking, analysis, and reporting

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage high-volume workloads with shifting priorities
