Production Planner (On-site

Job Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing environment as a Production Planner (On-site), where you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating efficient production schedules and ensuring seamless supply chain operations. This energetic position requires a proactive mindset, keen attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, supply chain management, and quality control to optimize production workflows, utilize ERP systems like SAP and MRP tools, and uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your expertise will drive operational excellence and support our commitment to lean manufacturing principles.

Responsible for the increase in the profitability of the Compounds business through Production Planning according to the market demand. Your goal will be to consolidate and systematize operations in a stable, proactive and transparent manner with the maximization of Production, Sales, Profitability, Inventory Management, Analysis and Optimization of prices and costs.

Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Balancing Production for Sales: Due to the constant fluctuation in the PVC Market and the presence of our Competitors, you will adjust the Production schedule to ensure plant and Commercial requirements are met on time. You must make use of the productive resources available at the Leominster, Pineville and Sylvin plants. Work with commercial team to generate Sales Forecasts on time and in form, in order to generate and implement Production Planning best practices.
  • Increase Profitability: must rely on numerical analysis to support the creation, changes or adjustments of the mixture in Production considering the following variables
  • 1. Product
  • 2. Customer
  • 3. Volume
  • 4. Cost vs Sale Price
  • 5. Differential
  • Systematize Operations: automate their processes to be more efficient by means of information systems.
  • Expediting Processes: solve daily problems to keep the entire Chain operating, for which it requires the capacity of Leadership, Creativity, Control and Follow-up with the other productive and administrative areas.
  • Plan the Production schedule based on demand for the Compound Plant. Monitor and adjust the inventory levels and compare it with the sales requirements to determine the Production capacities. Manage the follow-up and monthly reconciliation of both raw materials and finished product. Communicate and work with Production Manager and Shift Managers to set and agree on weekly production plans. Support Production Team in decision-making for deviation scenarios.
  • Key Responsibilities for the Planner:
  • Review and determine delivery commitment on all customer orders
  • Create a Weekly fixed Production Plan
  • Plan and progress any subcomponent manufacture products
  • Verify plan vs production capacity and raw material availability
  • Measure and improve plan deviations
  • Daily Report on progress vs plan to update all and Customer Services
  • Measure and improve Customer OTIF
  • Measure and improve Plan efficiency (lines planned per manning available, changeover efficiency etc.)
  • Measure and improve downtime due to material unavailability
  • Prepare actual capacity vs Forecast demand for 2-to-6-month time horizon
  • Recommendations on capacity adjustments required to meet demand

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Production planning and scheduling, forecasting, SAP, Office, Power BI. APO/IBP/PP-DS SAP desired.
  • Numerical analyses.
  • Teamwork, leadership, proactive.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Chemical engineer, BS or Industrial Engineer, BS or related field; years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
