Production Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans as per sales forecast and customer orders.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust plans based on machine availability and material status.
• Coordinate with purchase, stores, quality, and production departments for smooth operations.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, tools, and manpower as per production requirements.
• Track production performance and minimize downtime and delays.
• Maintain proper documentation of production reports, work orders, and planning data.
• Analyze capacity utilization and suggest process improvements.
• Ensure production targets are achieved with minimum wastage and cost control.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives like Lean, Kaizen, and 5S.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of production planning and control (PPC).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
• Time management and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory control.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience

• 3–6years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations (as per company requirement).
