Production Planning Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Production Planning Engineer with strong experience in steel fabrication. The role involves planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure timely delivery, efficient resource utilization, and smooth coordination between departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed production plans and schedules based on project requirements
• Coordinate with design, estimation, procurement, and production teams for workflow alignment
• Monitor fabrication progress and ensure targets are achieved as per schedule
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
• Track production performance and identify delays or bottlenecks
• Update planning reports and share progress with management
• Ensure availability of materials, drawings, and resources before production start
• Coordinate with procurement team for material delivery as per schedule
• Optimize manpower and machine utilization for maximum productivity
• Plan fabrication sequence and prioritize activities based on deadlines
• Identify production issues and implement corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement in production efficiency
• Maintain proper documentation of production plans, reports, and records
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in production processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering
• 2–5+ years of experience in steel fabrication / production planning
• UAE experience preferred

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes
• Experience in production planning and scheduling
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and BOQ
• Familiar with ERP systems / Excel-based planning tools
• Knowledge of project scheduling tools (Primavera is an advantage)
