Production & Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Control:
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for all production stages, from raw materials to finished products.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production lines to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of quality tests, results, and corrective actions.
• Problem Solving & Corrective Action:
• Investigate and troubleshoot quality defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
• Work with production teams to determine the root cause of quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality problems.
• Process Improvement:
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
• Utilize tools and methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Introduce and train staff on new quality control techniques and equipment.
• Supplier & Material Management:
• Inspect incoming raw materials (e.g., aluminum profiles, glass, hardware) to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Work with suppliers to address quality issues and improve the quality of incoming materials.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment related to windows, facades, or similar construction products.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of quality control standards, such as ISO 9001.
• Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, FMEA).
• Familiarity with materials used in window and facade production (e.g., aluminum, PVC, glass).
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform visual inspections, and navigate a factory environment.
