What you’ll do:

  • Develop and manage production schedules for customer sales orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
  • Open work orders and ensure deadlines are communicated to the Sales department. Manage the production orders in SAP
  • Collaborate with Network Schedulers to review daily material and component requirements, ensuring production schedules align with or exceed customer delivery commitments.
  • Direct daily workflow (WIP and finished goods) with the input from cross-functional teams.
  • Align and set priorities for resources and shared resources across the factory to maximize efficiency and material flow.
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels and ensure material availability for production orders.
  • Provide accurate material status updates to the Purchasing department and proactively monitor raw material deliveries to ensure timely availability
  • Maintain material master records and execute ERP transactions for material and production planning.
  • Reviews requisitions from ME5A and collaborates with ECM team to verify whether the demand is accurate and can be converted into a Purchase Order (PO). If the requisition is incorrect, ensures that the Planning and ECM teams make the necessary corrections
  • Manage the exception messages in SAP with ECM team to check the root cause of the exception messages and take actions to decrease the values
  • Participates in daily Material GEMBA walks to monitor and address issues related to missing materials, scrap, alternative material usage, and daily operational problems observed on the shop floor or in production
  • Conduct subcontracting material availability review meetings to update on missing items, inform the operation team about current sub work center status, and adjust relevant plan according to the delivery schedule of completing sub production processes
  • Prepare and distribute reports requested by management and supervisors
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and Transport teams.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procedures and techniques to improve scheduling functions.
  • Actively participate in CI (Continuous Improvement) activities and adhere to standard work practices.
  • Perform all activities in compliance with legal requirements and internal standards related to Environment, Health, and Safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, industrial engineering is preferable.
  • Minimum 5 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment or supply chain.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP.

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization (customers, marketing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing) is key.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment with strong ability to take action and get results.
  • Ability to quickly analyze, identify and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have a measurable impact each year.
  • Change management skills a plus
